The #1 Thing All Good Business Women Do

By August 20, 2014Marketing Principles

Now I don’t say it lightly when I tell you that there is one thing that I’ve put in every business I’ve ever run or worked with.

This one thing has never disappointed.

It’s helped the me, as a business owner, answer 3 critical questions…

How much money am I making every time my phone rings?

Where should I be investing my marketing spend?

For every dollar I spend on marketing, how many are coming back to me?

These are questions all good small business women ask or wonder. We can sometimes calculate rough numbers, percentages or rates and hopefully, be seeing a positive return from our marketing spend in constantly attracting.

But guess what, I’ve got a tool I use that calculates some pretty important things for me.

And it’s spot on. I’m talking down to the cent.

The tool I’m sharing with you today calculates numbers that are FAR more important in my opinion than any profit margin calculation, revenue numbers or cost figures. These numbers will incredibly motivate your team and show you how to grow your business predictably, cost-effectively and quickly.

And its super simple to use.

I’m no maths whiz but this is all formulated for you and basic enough for you or your team to spend 2-5 minutes a day entering in data to get some killer tell-tale signs back…the kind of stuff you can actually use to steer the ship in the right direction.

Let me give you an example.

I was working with one business who weren’t picking up the phone. They weren’t being lazy, trust me, they were doing very well to juggle a lot of balls and still provide a pretty sensational customer experience…but…they weren’t consistently answering the phone.

This phone had all of the website leads being directed to it and I was trying to stress the importance of picking up that phone and the potential of paying customers waiting at the other end of the line.

I then realised it was far more powerful to show them rather than just nag. So I plugged away data in to this tracking tool for 2-3 weeks. I was then able to sit down and tell the team exactly how much money was going down the drain every time they missed a call – it was $442.

Crazy ending.

They never missed a call again!

So are you starting to see the value of numbers?
